New Chapter Announces 2015/16 Charity: The Cystic Fibrosis Trust

12 August 2015

Following a year of fundraising support in aid of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK (SMA) New Chapter has nominated the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as its chosen charitable cause for 2015/2016.

Each year New Chapter employees vote for the charity of choice based upon nominations put forward by the charity committee. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust was nominated this year following one of New Chapter’s staff speaking about her personal experience after almost losing a friend three years ago to the disease. The Trust offers support to the sick and their families, as well as pioneering research that offers hope to sufferers throughout the UK.

Last year, New Chapter raised over £8,500 for SMA via a combination of corporate donations (New Chapter donates on behalf of clients and candidates for every placement made), fundraising activities such as the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, the Leeds to Cornwall bike ride and the Leeds and London half marathons. Various office-based activities also helped reach this figure including dress down days, cake sales and staff competitions.

This charity year for New Chapter promises more of the same and numerous large-scale fundraising events have already been planned over the next 12 months in what the company hopes will be a record-breaking fund raising year for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
