This is a rare opportunity for someone who is very strong
technically to take their first step into technical sales.
The Company
A small team in the UK, so you won't just be a face in the
crowd! But part of a wider international group, so plenty of scope

collaboratively with customers, which range from small
manufacturers through to international processors.
The Opportunity
You'll be passed some established customers to manage and grow,
but there's great prospects to bring on board new customers by
showcasing what you can do for them. Whilst you'll be price
competitive, you'll work chiefly on a project development basis,
using your technical skills to demonstrate the advantages of the
ingredients you'll be offering - including enzymes, flavours and
functional blends. You'll travel across the UK, really getting to
know your customers' frustrations and requirements, converting
these into commercial opportunities and ultimately, sales
revenue.
The Requirements
We're looking for someone who has a highly technical mind, with
experience of functional ingredients for meat and fish
applications. You'll have the communication skills and commercial
awareness to step across into a technical sales position - often
regarded as the hardest step to take, with so many companies
looking for prior sales experience. Naturally, you'll be a
people-person and ideally, hold a relevant qualification in Meat
Technology or similar.
