Site Service & Compliance Technician ( 4 on 4 off DAYS ONLY)

£38,771 + Overtime, Bonus and Pension

Location: Market Drayton

Do you have experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance?

Ideally you will be multi-skilled with both Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance experience although a specialism in just electrical or just mechanical can be considered with development opportunities to build your skill set to become a multi-skilled engineer.

A manufacturing background, particularly within FMCG / food manufacturing would be desirable although not essential.

You will undertake both proactive and reactive maintenance works to mechanical and electrical services. Maintaining legal compliance for the department including compressed air, refrigeration, HVAC, steam and fire protection systems as well as maintaining site fruit vessels to the required standards; ensuring safe hygienic supply of utilities including legionella controls.


Key responsibilities:
• Carry out site compliance work to ensure legal compliance.
• Work with external insurance responsible persons.
• Carry out fruit vessel maintenance to required standards (internal and external).
• Carry out routine testing and inspection of boilers and boiler house equipment (assist as required).
• Report status of site safety systems to Site Services Manager and follow procedures for raising of impairment notices.
• Accompany contract personnel involved in maintenance activities and ensure work is carried out under necessary safety controls.
• Carry out RM/PM activities to ensure safe operation of boilers, compressed air systems and ammonia plant.
• Carry out duties to ensure legal compliance.
• Carry out maintenance activities for premises (site and offices) to ensure they are in the best condition to facilitate business operations.
• Carry out all building maintenance activities associated with GMP and Quality related activities e.g. building works associated with pest control, maintaining laboratories etc.
• Carry out all activities to site standards for building maintenance and services installation work.
• Ensure all building fabric and associated fixtures comply with quality standards e.g. pest control, GMP etc.
• Attending to doors and their operation.
• Fire alarm testing/general maintenance and reporting.
• Sprinkler system inspections and reporting.


Key skills & experience:
• IOSH Working Safely (or higher).
• Competent Welder
• Hold an appropriate qualification in a building services or engineering discipline (NVQ Level 3 Minimum)
• Demonstrable good working knowledge and experience of delivering maintenance to building systems and equipment in a GMP/food manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge and experience of maintenance duties for HVAC systems.
