Job Description

New Chapter are partnering with a large food manufacturer to help find them some ambitious Shift Production Managers to ensure that excellence is maintained throughout their busy site. You will play a vital part in this manufacturer’s day to day operations, with opportunities across their intake, despatch and production departments.

Your role will be to lead the team to perform in a way that achieves and exceeds company expectations, in addition to delivering these results, you will be expected to create a culture of aspiration and ensuring that everyone aspires to be the best that they can be. You will also strive to implement CI and improve processes wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across all functions including Engineering, Health and Safety, Technical, NPD and HR
  • Deliver a production plan efficiently across the area you are responsible for, maximising yield and minimising waste
  • Support the management in the identification and implementation of all relevant projects and initiatives
  • Clarify the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for your supervisors, line leaders and operatives so they fully understand how their performance can affect the bottom line.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have prior experience at management level in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrate financial understanding and business acumen
  • Maintain a strong focus on the needs of the customer and consumer together with a strong understanding of the processes and procedures that need to be fulfilled in order to achieve this.
  • Oversee the compliance whilst demonstrating an understanding of HSE requirements
  • Knowledgeable and trained in people management practices including investigations, Disciplinary and Grievance procedures, Performance Management and Recruitment & Selection processes.

This is a permanent role where you will be working shifts, 5 over 7 days.
