Job Description

The company:

Our client is an award-winning luxury sparkling wine company. They are now seeking to further expand their Marketing team to step-change the company growth nationally and internationally. Currently they are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans to help entrench the company as the Finest sparkling Wine. You will be reporting in to the Head of Marketing and will be based in London.

The role:

  • Developing and implementing marketing plans for consumers, key opinion leaders and the trade (within wine, champagne or spirits sector).
  • Managing brand projects, brand performance tracking, and contributing to brand strategy.
  • Management experience as you will be responsible for 6 direct reports in this position.
  • Contribute, in cooperation with the Senior PR & Digital Manager to the development & implementation of PR & communications.
  • Manage and develop Customer and Sales initiatives, creating presentations, assisting in Joint Business Plans, reflecting both a Sales and Marketing perspective.
  • Leading CRM strategy; roll out customer acquisition strategies as well as retention and activation strategies.
  • Define Trade Marketing plans together with Sales, Trade Marketing Manager and Brand Ambassador's targets and plans.
  • Manage and develop the Trade Marketing Manager, working on Customer and Sales initiatives, creating presentations, assisting in Joint Business Plans, reflecting both a Sales and Marketing perspective.
  • Work with the events team to develop annual event strategy to support the companies brand objectives, new product launches and national promotions.
  • Ensure that workflow and projects are appropriately managed and developed on time and on budget.

The candidate:

  • Proven strong consumer orientation, balanced with excellent commercial awareness.
  • Must be able to work autonomously and be highly motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven managerial skills, experience in managing a varied team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including multiple project management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and multitask.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Results orientation.
  • Practical and methodical in problem solving.
  • Ability to identify and action consumer and commercial insights.
  • Excellent understanding of the digital and social landscape.
  • Experience of working within the premium drinks industry (Wine/Champagne).
  • Experience of implementing CRM strategies.
  • Experience of creating communication plans.
  • Extensive experience of brand development.
  • Experience of managing a luxury brand across channels.
  • Formal qualification in Marketing/Business.
