Job Description

Regional Key Account Manager – On Trade 
Key Purpose of the Job: To manage and develop existing and prospective direct and indirect accounts in your defined channel; to achieve short and long-term goals of increasing distribution, sales and profit growth targets for all Lanson International UK Champagne brands.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Sales Development i. Manage and develop existing and prospect targeted accounts. ii. Execute the defined channel sales strategy, to achieve the brand plans within the framework of the company strategy in order to achieve targeted volumes, market share and profit objectives. iii. Implement brand plans through effective customer engagement whilst managing trade spend within agreed guidelines. iv.  Action customer focused business plans, including credit management, with designated direct accounts. v. Develop relationships and a network of business contacts within accounts, to include buyers, supply chain, marketing, outlet managers and wine advisors, to maximise core champagne brand opportunities and optimise brand investment. vi. Keep up to date with competitive activity in market and recommend/suggest customer opportunities where possible. vii. Manage and implement promotional activity (both tailored and generic) in assigned accounts. viii. Identify and secure core champagne brand listings with high profile and landmark on-trade outlets to ensure maximum visibility for the Lanson International UK portfolio. ix. Educate staff and consumers through tasting and training sessions.  x. Identify opportunities and recommend action for new brand initiatives. xi. Manage and control personal and customer related budgets and resources to optimum effect within agreed guidelines. 
2. Administration/Communication/Reporting i. Keep all account records, databases and management/planning documents up to date. ii. Keep up to date with all relevant Nielsen data, company, marketing and product information. iii. Ensure good, frequent and open communication with all Lanson team colleagues through appropriate methods. iv. Ensure excellent standards of customer interaction. v Submit all reports, requests and correspondence in a timely manner with copies as required to the agreed standard.
3. General i. Ensure excellent levels of team work in self and others. ii. Work using own initiative and use judgment to seek advice and support as necessary. iii. Attend and positively contribute to all sales and channel meetings. iv. Act as a host with customers at key events, acting as an ‘ambassador’ for Lanson International UK.  v. Seek opportunities for continuous personal development. vi. Undertake special duties/projects as required. 
Key Performance Indicators Holders of this position will be expected to achieve specific targets set against each of the following KPIs:
i. The individual RKAM annual Champagne Lanson sales volume / NNSV budget.  ii. The individual RKAM annual Besserat de Bellefon sales volume /NNSV budget. iii. The individual RKAM annual Tsarine sales volume /NNSV budget. iv. The individual RKAM annual challenger and agency volume and NNSV budget. v. The individual RKAM annual champagne brands new distribution targets. vi. Follow the company's core brand strategy within the nominated sector. vii. Keep within the expenses budgetary targets for your area. viii. Networking activity to develop business relations and account support.
