Job Description

I am currently working with one of the biggest food producers in Britain, who stand out from the crowd as they have stayed true to their simple ethos - to create authentically made British food, without compromise. Using the skills of artisans and the dedication of generations of craftsmanship, they make great, tasty food. If you should be employed by this company, you will be expected to drive these principles into your team, to ensure customer loyalty.

Do you want to work in a fast paced, innovation driven, market leading team? One where you can have influence within a massive industry force?

Through shrewd investment, organic growth and good old fashioned Yorkshire pragmatism, they have built a business focused on flavor, authentic production and quality food. With state-of-the-art production facilities and new product development, they create innovative, exceptional food experiences that customers can trust.

They pride themselves on practical knowledge and a dedication to products of the highest quality. They believe that good food - sustainably and ethically produced - is not a privilege, it's a right. It's what makes the company, leaders in Great British Taste. The team do this by ensuring that they are up to date on manufacturing trends, innovation within the meat market and then translating that into new product. Everyone that works within the team are expected to be a bit of a foodie, they need to have passion for creating something new and the want to be able to change the way that consumers eat.

People are at the heart of the business - from the farm to the factory to the retail shelf, our people deliver exceptional food experiences. They were founded on expertise but they are also entrepreneurs, seeking out opportunities, encouraged by the culture that allows great commercial ideas to flourish. This company actively seeks out people who are confident and welcoming for this customer facing role.

Remember:

  • You will be responsible for delivery new product development, renovation and cost saving projects. Having strong experience in these areas will help to ensure a successful application.
  • You will be managing the companies NPD Team. This team is at the heart of the company, thus you will need to have experience managing a small team already, to ensure that you will be ready for the responsibility.
  • You will be actively searching for new ingredients and suppliers, have you got experience in this area already? Tell me on your CV!
  • You will be interacting with clients to build relationships but also manage expectations. Having experience in these areas, would be fantastic. Especially Marks and Spencer's or Waitrose.

Also having a degree in Food Science or Nutrition would be excellent however, 2-3 years in a senior development role would work as well!

It is rare this role will come up within this team, as people rarely leave. This opportunity is 100% one to not miss.

Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes we receive.
