Job Description

For many years our client has been manufacturing some of the UKs most loved healthy snacks, there are few health shops or supermarkets that don't stock these well-known hearty delights. Due to expansion plans this organisation now seeks a New Product Development Technologist, to help grow the innovations team.

Reporting into Head of Innovation, you will have your hand in all aspects of innovation including blue sky development, improved product development, packing and processes. You will work alongside the development Chefs and the technical team to ensure all products are produced to the highest quality, safety and are commercial viable. Tasting panels, factory trials and cost control will also fall under your remit. You will hold in your hands generations of sought after recipes, this role requires an innovative foodie with an eye for detail and the passion to continue the legacy.

Successful candidates will have a good knowledge of the healthy food industry with a specific interest in snacking foods. An excellent communicator and project manager with in-depth experience of working with the retailers is a prerequisite. Candidates with an eye for detail, thermal processing and costing will go far in this role. Degree educated or equivalent in a Food Science, is preferred with experience working in a food manufacturing environment is essential. All candidates must be experts in innovation, manufacturing and most importantly Customer relationships. A clean driving license with own vehicle is desired.
