Job Description

They work with some of the best known brands in the UK. A fast-moving brand development company, they are looking for a National Account Manager to add to their team. They are recognised on a global scale with major brands in the on and off trade. They have brands in almost every drink category; spirits, beers, wines, liqueurs, mixers and Champagnes. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate about learning and selling the story of the brands. Opportunities working for high profile brand development companies don’t come around often.

You will be reporting to the National Account Controller, you will maintain and grow the business channels through high levels of customer service and development of customer specific strategic and tactical plans to deliver company volume and profit target for core brands. You will also focus on bringing on new National Account business aided by an extensive portfolio of brands and support. You will be in charge of Joint Business Plans as well as planning, implementing, monitoring and analysing promotional activities while achieving agreed business aims in line with strategy. Previous experience with on trade Nation accounts is essential, preferably via a number of National Route to market wholesalers. To give you an idea of the accounts; although these may vary, Hilton, Greene King, Wagamama, M & B, Whitbread & Horeca.

A minimum of 2 years working at National Account Manager level in FMCG sales is essential, it would be advantageous if you had experience working with large on trade accounts in the wine and spirit sector. They are looking for someone with a degree preferably in business or similar. Having a WSET is desirable, but not essential. You will need to be self-motivated, tenacious with strong leadership qualities. A big part of the job is to be a team player as well as being trustworthy and reliable. Good presentation and negotiating skills are crucial to this role as well as good excel, word and powerpoint skills.
