The company:


I am working with an international spirits company that are a very fast-growing team. They are currently looking for a Junior Copywriter to write engaging and effective marketing copy for the business which builds the brand personality, inspires its new and existing customers and drives sales. The successful candidate will be based at their head office based in North West London, reporting and working closely with Editor. The company pride themselves on their imagination, creativity and ability to source and sell fantastic spirits from across the globe.


The role:


  • Writing copy for a wide range of different audiences across a great variety of subjects and products, with differing objectives. Copy will be required, as appropriate, to sell, generate interest, inform, amuse, educate, entertain or provoke debate.
  • Write and upload content for new products on the website, prioritising products as required and meeting all deadlines.
  • Manage review content and ensure all appropriate new reviews are activated in a timely manner.
  • Working with the editorial team, manage the brand content project for the site and deliver copy to agreed deadlines.
  • Contribute copy to website pages, emailing’s, digital activations, product and seasonal campaigns and the blog.
  • Ensure that copy is, wherever appropriate, SEO optimised.
  • Ensure all messaging is consistent with the brand values and personality of each business area so that the brand identity and other key business areas is developed and reinforced.
  • This role contains a large potential for development and progression in the fields of marketing and content strategy.


The candidate:


  • At least 1.5 years’ experience of working in a copywriting or marketing role.
  • Outstanding written communication skills with an ability to adapt tone and style to different brands, audiences and objectives.
  • Excellent attention to detail and grammatical skills.
  • Experience writing for digital and social media platforms.
  • Experience writing effective SEO-optimised content.
  • Creativity and imagination.
  • Customer focused.
  • An ability to think, work and write quickly and creatively.
  • A passion for the drinks industry.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and collaborative style of working.
  • Equally at home working independently or as part of a team.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute projects to meet required deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a pro-active, can-do attitude.
