Job Description

Inspirational, innovative and forward thinking. If you feel these words are a good representation of your attributes, then we really should talk.

It's about to be a new year so if you're feeling a fresh start is exactly what you need then read on. Few opportunities in food innovation present themselves at this level but a recent restructure in our clients' organisation has resulted in the need to appoint a Head of Development.

Your remit is simple; to lead, develop and execute innovation projects which deliver product excellence and return on investment. Integral to this role will be to manage and motivate your team, ensuring growth across dedicated categories/ranges. Another key strand to this role will be to ensure the consistent delivery of innovative, high quality product ranges which reflect and adhere to the company's brand values.

Working cross-functionally with the sales, marketing and technical teams, you will ensure compliance with all company and food industry standards.

Ideally educated in a relevant discipline, you will currently hold a senior development role within either a food manufacturing or retailer environment. A true leader, you will possess the necessary gravitas to influence key stakeholders, taking an instrumental role in shaping the future innovation strategy. With an innate understanding of consumer tastes and preferences, you will react swiftly to identify trends and deliver products which exceed expectations. A firm grasp of technical constraints coupled with solid commercial acumen will be a pre-requisite.

This is a high profile and strategically important role and as such, offers the successful candidate the rare opportunity to impact significantly in a well-known and well respected business. So if you feel you have the passion, drive and creative flair to succeed in this fast-paced environment then we want to hear from you.

Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes we receive. If you've not heard from us within two weeks, unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
