Position- Export Manager

Salary- Flexible depending upon experience

Office/ Field based- UK- home based

We are currently searching for an experienced Export Manager to join one of the UK's leading Food Manufacturers with a focus on developing business in China, The US and India. Their products, which include a broad range of chilled and ambient foods, both own label and branded, can be found in every major supermarket across the UK and in most kitchens at home! Their continued focus on using only top quality ingredients have resulted in some of the best products in the market today. This is a well-established and fast paced business with a wealth of experience with leading retailers throughout the Retail/ Grocery, Foodservice and Hospitality sectors in the UK as well as an already prominent export team.

The role of Export Account Manager will involve expanding sales and maximising the margins of branded products with a big focus on China, The US and India. Although initial contacts have been made in these areas you will be tasked with sourcing the correct distributors, identifying retailers and following specific trends to ensure products are modified for the country's needs. The business produces a wide range of products from soups to ready meals to noodles to gluten free products. The role will encompass full P&L responsibility over your accounts with a massive focus on business development.

The ideal candidate would have recent and up to date experience working in export within an FMCG business. Experience of running accounts in China is essential with existing contacts in the US being a massive bonus. The role will require extensive travel and as such any language skills would be beneficial but is definitely no essential. You will be required to commute to the businesses Yorkshire head offices a minimum of once a week initially.
