Job Description

Our client is an international ingredients supplier, largely targeting the bakery, confectionery and dairy sectors. This is an extremely exciting time in the company's development, as it seeks to add to its European team. Within Europe, the team is small - so this is a position that will suit someone who enjoys independence and thrives with autonomy. Despite the small team, the company's growth means that there is every chance of stepping into a more senior managerial position in the future.

We're looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager with international experience in the food ingredients industry. You'll be based in central Europe (not the UK) and along with your native language and English, any other languages will be beneficial. The majority of business at the moment is done through a network of distributors, so experience of managing distributors would be highly beneficial, but not essential, as the current model will shift towards more direct sales in the future.

The market potential for this company in Europe in HUGE so we're looking for someone with a fantastic track record of winning new business. Last year alone, the European market DOUBLED in size and this trend is set to continue. The good news - there will be excellent bonus potential to enable a really driven Sales Manager to reap the rewards of helping to grow the company in Europe.

We're looking for someone who is technically minded that can demonstrate success as an International Business Development Manager, European Account Manager or similar position. Ideally, this will have been gained in the functional food ingredients or flavours industry, but other sectors within the food ingredients market will certainly be considered - and exposure to dairy, bakery and confectionery customers would be particularly beneficial. As the role will be 25-50% travel, a willingness to travel on an international level, with a strong cultural awareness, is essential.

Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes we receive. If you've not heard from us within two weeks, unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
