We are working with an innovative and forward-thinking retail research agency who deliver shopper research insights and actions to help their clients grow. They have built an impressive portfolio of clients in the retail and FMCG supplier space, including leading blue-chip brands. Culturally, the business is people focused and so always ensure to find people that will fit into their friendly team culture.


Who they are looking for:

They are now in search for a Business Development Manager to join their highly talented team. They are looking for someone who has the ability to absorb information quickly and understand the changing market challenges. A strong track record in sales is essential as you will need to be comfortable selling to prospective clients and build strong rapport going forward.


Key responsibilities…

  • Develop and maintain a new sales pipeline, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plan, working closely with the Commercial Director
  • Write detailed commercial proposals, from client brief, with cost and timings
  • Understand prospects strategy, insight and data needs and business strategy.
  • Attend conferences and networking events


Ideal candidate…

  • Previous successful track record of experience an Account Manager for an insight agency or Business Development Manager for an FMCG brand
  • Working knowledge of insight and data analysis, as well as an understanding of market research
  • Adept at gleaning information from prospects and converting to detailed proposals
  • Confident in pitch and sales negotiation as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for winning and ability to work independently and remain self-motivated!
