Job Description

With a global presence, our client is a B2B food ingredients provider that is widely acknowledged as being one of the leading operators in its market. With an enviable client base across the food and beverage manufacturing sector worldwide, the business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and this growth is expected to continue, partly due to the growing range of ingredients that the company can offer, with a strong emphasis on constant innovation.

We are now looking for a European Marketing Manager to join the expanding team in the UK. Driving customer engagement, you will be responsible for managing marketing activities across the region, whilst executing global marketing strategy. You will work very closely with your customers, offering a consultative approach to help identify how to grow their brands whilst offering solutions that are commercially viable – using consumer research, market insights and trend identification to help shape their strategy and planning.

With the goal of being the supplier of choice in what is a competitive market, you will need to always be willing to go the extra mile to really “get under the skin” of your customers. With an impressive marketing background either in the B2B ingredients/flavours field, or the B2C food & beverage sector, you will have a reasonable understanding of NPD and the latest trends in food ingredients. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset, being capable of performing a broad variety of tasks in what is a diverse role – one day, you may be compiling data in the office to identify a particular trend in beverages; the next, you might be in Italy to advise a yoghurt manufacturer on what steps to take to stay ahead of its competitors.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be based within a reasonable commute of the office, or be prepared to move to the West London/High Wycombe/Berkshire/South Oxfordshire region. In addition, the role will involve frequent international travel, so the ability to travel on a European level on a regular basis is essential. Additional languages to English would be advantageous.
